413. Losing the Road

Susie fears for her husband Brad's safety when she discovers a grieving father and his son have settled in Mt Thomas. She realises they are the father and brother of the boy who was killed in the same accident that lost Brad the use of his legs. Brad thinks it is just a coincidence but Susie fears that they are out for revenge.


414. What Goes Around

Susie has found her husband, Brad, a job at a local call centre but is distressed to find that it's the work place from hell. When the boss accuses the union organiser of sabotage, Brad is persuaded to play detective and soon suspects the centre is linked to illegal activities.


416. Dirty Cheaters

When the Mt Thomas High School principal is attacked, Tom and the Heelers suspect exam theft is the cause. Until, that is, they begin probing into the dysfunctional family of the principal. Meanwhile, Ben earnestly awaits the promotion to Sergeant that he has been seeking for four years. Last time he wanted it, it was snatched up by Tess. He's so close now, but Inspector Falcon-Price has other plans... And Susie's marriage troubles escalate; while Tom finds more trials as Daniel finishes school.


417. Sexual Healing (1)

When a local man hangs himself, allegations begin surfacing that his psychiatrist slept with him, and other patients. Meanwhile, Brad and Susie's relationship continues to deteriorate as he continues drinking, and she suggests he see the psychiatrist, however when he sleeps with her things get out of hand. As their sexual problems are revealed to everyone, Brad moves out and Susie can't take it anymore. Ben prepares for his promotion to Sergeant only to get the bad news from PJ and Jo that another guy - a friend of Inspector Falcon-Price - is running for the job.


418. Sexual Healing (2)

A domestic situation sees Susie paying regular visits to the same motel that Brad is staying at. She finds herself thankful, however, for the help that the others give her. Ben's set a date for his wedding - March 17 - and he's ready for the promotion. Inspector Falcon-Price pays a surprise visit to the station to inspect but can find nothing wrong and Ben thinks he did well in front of the panel. Susie spends the night with Brad but things get out of hand when his depression takes over, and he spends the next day at the Imperial until he evantually causes a scene and Chris rings the cops to get rid of him. Susie and Ben deposit an angry Brad at home, and after he assures Susie that he loves her, they head back to the station to sign Susie out so she can spend time with Brad. There, the others are leaving and Marissa is waiting for Ben so they can go out to dinner. Susie, however, realises her gun is missing and they rush back to her home. Brad is missing as well. Ben and Susie wait anxiously and he hugs her for support. A drunken, depressed and paranoid Brad returns and sees them together and aims his gun at Ben. The two are in a standoff until Brad tells Ben he isn't going to shoot him. He aims his gun, instead, at Susie and prepares to pull the trigger. Ben has no choice but to shoot and kill Brad in return. And Susie is there to see it.
